Starting earlier this week, I announced on my Facebook page (www.facebook.com/azriel.mordec…) that through May 18, I would be contributing half of all the money I make from any prints sold through my DeviantART page to help the fight against autism. I have decided to do this to commemorate my return to the stage after a yearlong absence; on May 18, I join my mates in Rev-33 for a performance at an autism benefit in Liverpool, New York at Mac’s Bad Art Bar. Proceeds for that event are going to benefit the Beatrice and Samuel A. Seaver Foundation, benefactors of the Seaver Autism Center in New York City, to which I will also be making my donation.
I don’t personally have any direct affect on my life from autism, but I have several friends whose children are affected and believe that this is a good cause to help. I have met some great and talented children who are autistic and believe that they deserve every bit of the support they can get.
I encourage other artists to consider using some of their earnings to help others when they can. I know, as much as others, that times are hard nowadays and that it’s not always easy to help others, but I remind myself that when times are hard for me, it is even harder on charities and organizations that help others. Without the support of people like you and I, many of these places would not exist.
I personally feel that, as artists, to be able to create something from our own hands where nothing once existed and then generate something from that that can, in turn, help others is the ultimate expression of the power of art. It can change the world, one piece at a time, and we artists have the ability to guide that growth.
So, please spread the word, and if you are so inclined, share a link to my page (azrielmordecai.deviantart.com/) on your media networks to let people know that they can help a good cause, help children and do something good without ever getting out of their chair. And they get a nice piece of art as a bonus for helping others. If other artists choose to do something like I am doing, I encourage you to share in the comments section.

AN IMPORTANT NOTICE RE: LOVECRAFT GRIMOIRE PROJECT
Sorry Lovecraft fans... thanks to the scumbag thieves over at Lovecraft.wikia.com, I will be adding watermarks to all of my Lovecraft Grimoire pages and seriously reconsidering whether or not I will upload any others. Understandably, this makes them basically useless as game props, and those who have been following for a while know that I shared these for gamers to use in their games, not to be stolen and re-uploaded by Lovecraft.wikia.com despite express statements forbidding uploads elsewhere, and doing so under the guise of "fair use". If this bothers you, voice your opinion on art theft and "fair use" abuse to them, since they feel that i
RE: My Departure from the Lovecraft Wiki Community
I have withdrawn permission from the H.P. Lovecraft Wiki (http://lovecraft.wikia.com/) to use my artwork. Several months back they posted my material without permission, resulting in my filing a DMCA complaint. The administrators of this page subsequently contacted me and in regards to that material requested a sort of "do over" as it were. Being a reasonable person, I consented to allow them to use my material moving forward with permission.
However, it's clear in recent days that the contributors to this "community" seem to think that if you are a contributor to the Lovecraft mythos, you give up all right to your creations, that your artwor

2015... Lovecraft and More...
I'll be getting back to posting updates to the Lovecraft Grimoire here in the next couple of weeks, for those who are interested.
I recently came across the original thumbnail sketches I drew years back and was quite surprised by them... When I originally began the prop pages, I only needed a certain number, but in order to decide the pages I'd actually create for the project, I drew dozens of little thumbnail sketches on lined notebook paper, 9 per page for a grand total of five pages front and back and used these as exemplars. I had forgotten the amount of work that had gone into these designs, really, since I did not refer to them once th
